At EBW, we have been running children’s classes for over four years and have helped countless children develop better motor skills, improve their athletic ability, increase their cardiovascular fitness and take their flexibility to the next level.
FUNdamentals are our main sessions for children
These sessions are based around helping your children learn the basics of weight training and correct technique for a range of different exercises. We always start with the easiest variations, only progressing on to the more advanced movements when the child masters the correct technique.
We do this by making sessions a mixture of weight training, balance games, running, and carrying things.
We also teach them about safe spotting, correct lifting techniques, and flexibility training to ensure lifelong safe lifting skills, that they can use for years to come.
• Max of 12 per class and two coaches
• Classes are 45 minutes long
• Classes are Monday and Wednesday at 4:15pm
• Children’s memberships start from £30 per month
Beginners Olympic Weightlifting
Want to jump higher? Perhaps throw further? Or just learn something new? Then these sessions are for you!
These sessions are aimed at the aspiring weightlifter/athletic child.
All the greatest Olympic Weightlifters started when they were young, and the most explosive athletes know how much Olympic Weightlifting helps them to become more powerful.
Olympic Weightlifting sessions are again based around correct technique, and children will only ever lift weight well within them. The aim of the sessions is to help children learn the Olympic lifts, the Snatch, and Clean & Jerk, alongside assistance exercises for these and others to improve coordination, explosive power, and overall athleticism.
• Max of six children per class
• Classes are 45 minutes long
• Classes are on Saturday at 11am
• Children’s memberships start from £30 per month
